Place and History
The piazza chosen as the venue for Notti di Luce has been the heart of the economic and social life of the city of Bergamo for more than four centuries. Site of the old fairgrounds, Piazza Dante was entirely re-designed in the early 20th century by architect Marcello Piacentini to become the heart of the Lower City's modern administrative center and home to the Chamber of Commerce.
