Roberto Mucci graduated in “Organ and organistic composition” at “G. Donizetti” Musical Institute in Bergamo, under the guidance of Luigi Molfino and in “Choral music and direction” with A.E. Negri at “G.Verdi” Conservatory in Como. He graduated in “Sacred music and Gregorian chant” at the Pontificio Istituto Ambrosiano of Sacred Music in Milan where, since 2000, he has teached “Harmony” and “Organ”. As composer he has in his repertory many vocal and organistic pieces edited and recorded on CD. He has been directing Ensemble Polifonico and Schola Gregoriana “Laus Deo” in Rho (Milan) for more than ten years. Since July 2004 he has been in office as head organist at Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore in Bergamo and is the artistic director of the festival “L’organo della Basilica” (“The Basilica Organ”), an eminent yearly kermesse dedicated to monumental “Vegezzi - Bossi” of S. Maria Maggiore.
