David Cats: the IIlusionist

Among the news of Notti di Luce 10th edition, we find the introduction of magic and illusionism. Magic is a true Art like painting, sculpture, dance and music, since the magician must have a remarkable physical ability and must sometimes use complex technical instruments. In the course of centuries it developed according to the modes related to the culture of each historic period, often following also the lines of scientific thought. The history of magic Art starts in ancient Aegypt, crosses the Middle Ages and, only in the XIX century, with the Romanticism and the rediscovery of the Occult, the first magicians - in strict sense of the word – appeared: the illusionists (like Robert Houdin, “the inventor of levitation”) who were the ancestors of famous personages like Harry Houdini. Notti di Luce wanted to launch the new dimension of the festival inviting David Cats, a young illusionist who has already forged ahead with international success. In Las Vegas David Cats, indeed, has been awarded as one of the thirty best illusionists in the world and his show, that will be presented at the Donizetti Theatre, has really been touring all over the world from the United States to Paris. Entry with fee, till availability of seats.

Takings of the show will be entirely devolved to Capuchin Fathers’ “Poor refectory” of Bergamo.
