Ricetteros
From an idea of Silli Togni
with Silli Togni, Giovanni Battaglia, actors
Franco Ambrosetti, trumpet
Claudio Angeleri, piano
Marco Esposito, bass
Mauro Beggio, drums

The project is a work of Silli Togni, actress and author of "Ricetteros". It is a pun combining cousine and love stories. A binomial which has always gone well that has been depicted in the arts, songs, movies, literature and now also in the theatre. It’s Silli Togni herself that tells us about: “I felt like making a show in the name of levity on the subject of recipes. They are not classic recipes, but culinary tales, or I’d better say culinary inspirations, wrapped in a slightly erotic narrative setting. The idea came reading Manuel Vazquez Montalban’s books and his fascinating gastronomic recipes. I’ve tried to involve some friends of the culture and music world, friends that sent me their gastronomic tales. Small stories linked to the subject of food and love, short tales, sketches, phone calls for two, love dialogues”.

On the stage there is a big kitchen and a great chef. As in all respectable kitchens there is music, also on the stage there will be incidental music. And what a music. A downright orchestra, with original compositions by Franco Ambrosetti and Claudio Angeleri, who will play with Marco Esposito and Mauro Beggio. "A jazz quartet that will have a very important role – Silli Togni wants to clarify – which will not just be background music but will be a costant presence, will interact with the show and will be part and parcel of it”.

But let’s go to the culinary tales that will be interpreted on the stage. The recipes bear the signature of important names, among which we find the one of singer Mina, writer Augusto Bianchi Rizzi, journalist Eros Costantini, nice Cito Steiger, better known as Gigi Piantoni, jazz music piano player Dado Moroni, and writers like Mariella De Santis and Anthony Robbins. Besides all this there are other culinary tales of Giorgio Gaber, Manuel Vazquez Montalban and Irene Frain.
