Alessandro La Ciacera graduated with the maximum grade in Organ and Organistic Composition at Milan Conservatory in 2000 under the guidance of Luigi Benedetti. He attended to organistic interpretation and improvisation; he won the national organistic contests of Rome (2001), Vanzaghello (2001), was awarded with the second prize (not assigned) in Viterbo national contest in 2002. In 2005 Veneranda Fabbrica of Milan Cathedral Dome elected him Assistant Organist in the same Cathedral.
Caring particularly for contemporary organistic literature, he collaborated with Karlheinz Stockhausen whose work “Klang”, the first piece for organ of the wellknown Austrian composer, the first opening worldwide in Milan Cathedral Dome, got unanimous consensus by Italian and foreign critics.
He performs an intense concert activity as solo player together with his didactic activity as Organ and Organistic Composition teacher at Pontificio Istituto Ambrosiano of Sacred Music in Milan. He is the author of many Masses and Mottetti and at the moment is finishing a serie of organ pieces and a collection of compositions for different instrumental assemblies, both coming soon. Since 2001 he has been in charge as Organist at Sant’Angelo church in Milan.
