Stage on musical
with
Agnese Riccitelli and Roberto Colombo
The body. The body as an instrument of language. A language that through dance transcends word and comes anyway to our interlocutor in a different way and with an additional particularity. Through the movement, what we want to tell can get to the others with a meaning which is the same of the original one, different, personal, that is dictated by interpretation and experience of whom observes. Therefore filtered, as nowadays we filter words, when we say that “we misunderstood” or “we meant to say something else”.
From the gesture of joy or of fear, dance evolves, becomes codified, passes through thecourts of Louis XIV, the Romanticism on tip-toes, the rule-breaking Martha Graham, to the present days when dance becomes the testimony of our times. A time that gathers passed experiences, the new dynamics of modern dance, the introduction of the video as instrument of working and “show”, the theatre as the place where the tale uses dance mixed with music, singing, acting: the musical.
