Exhibition of the paintings that won the XXII Agazzi National Prize of painting, watercolor and graphics

This year the National Prize of painting, watercolor and graphics entitled to the two artist brothers “Rinaldo and Ermenegildo Agazzi” comes to its XXII edition. Organized by thecultural Association “Agazzi Ars” of Mapello (Bg), that deals with the carrying out of the testamentary legacy of Ermenegildo Agazzi, with whom the prize started, in the course of the years the contest has proved to be one of the most significative events in the national art calendar. Counting on the involvement of hundreds of artists coming from every Italian region (more than 1500 competitors only in the last edition), Premio Agazzi becomes each year the occasion for discovering trends, novelties, protagonists of Italy’s artisticgeography. The well articulated structure of the Prize and its related activities make it however a very inique initiative in the landscape of artistic contests so that the event is less and less a traditional painting prize and presents itself as a real cultural operation fully dealing with art, from a mere contest to educational routes, from itinerant exhibitions in Italy and abroad and guided visits up to, in a near future, the museum aspect.
