Recital of Teo Teocoli
He’s one of the most renown and loved comic actors by the Italian public especially because of his many appearances on TV in programmes of huge success.
An outright and istrionic actor, during his recitals he likes to range from cabaret to dance, from music to cheering imitations of the most famous personages of sports, politics and show biz.
He got his training as cabaret man at Milan’s Derby together with Cochi and Renato, Enzo Jannacci and Massimo Boldi, becoming part of the first Adriano Celentano’s clan. In the 1960s he sang as a soloist with some bands like Camaleonti and “I Quelli”, later known as Premiata Forneria Marconi.
It’s right his first years of career as a self made man that trained Teocoli, so making it possible for him to fully test himself in different activities and to drag attention to himself as an unquestionable spotlight-chaser.
His first appearances on TV were with Boldi on Antenna 3, but his real TV final seal was with “Drive In” on Canale 5. In 1989 he created, in “Emilio”, Peo Pericoli (an irreducible fan of Milan soccer team),still today one of this most renown characters.
In 1991/1992 he was the master of “Striscia la notizia”. In 1992 he inhaugurated candid-cameras about vip people with “Scherzi a parte”. In “Mai dire gol” in the season 1992/1993 he creates cheering characters, sports reporters, leaving the programme only in 1995. In 1994 he published a comic book, “Frittura totale globale”. In the same year he was awarded with the Telegatto. In 1996 he was the master of the programme “Il boom” on Canale 5, with gene Gnocchi and Simona Ventura. He performed his sports characters in “EuroPeo”, broadcasted on Italia 1 on the occasion of the European Football Championship.
In 1997 he was the master of “Faccia Tosta” on Rai 1 together with Wendy Windham. In the same year he was one of the protagonists of “Fantastica italiana”. After some appearances in the Sunday programme “Quelli che il calcio”, by and with Fabio Fazio, he became the constant guest of that programme in the 1998-1999 and 1999-2000 seasons. In the February of 1999 he was the master of “San Remo Notte” with Fabio Fazio and Orietta Berti, from Sanremo Town Casinò Theater, the show that followed the 49th edition of the Festival of San Remo.
In the October of 1999 he became the fixed guest of Adriano Celentano’s “Francamente me ne infischio”.
He supported Fabio Fazio and Luciano Pavarotti in the 50th Festival of San Remo.
In 2004 he has been the special guest of “Zelig”, with Claudio Bisio and Vanessa Incontrada.
