Clay Paky Professional Light Show
Dancing light
Valerio Festi’s original production for Nights of Light 2004
It’s the glance, the sight the “sense” through which we perceive light; and it’s again the glance the means to other people and things. These are the two themes Studio Festi has worked on in order to make up three shows in sinergy with Clay paky’s Light Professional Show.
Each of the three nights is dedicated to one of the three fundamental elements: Air, Water, Fire.

WATER
The first night is dedicated to water; water becomes light and then the colours resulting by their melting together: white and green. Sea and wind noises...young women dance with the notes of Claude Debussy’s “La mer”, air changes colour and dyes with strong iridiscences, a siren reveals herself and dances in a big glass full of water.
AIR
The second night is dedicated to air and therefore also to the blue and gold colours. A huge sphere comes on the scene, flying high in the sky. A sneaky moon face is painted on it and beneath an acrobat dances in the sky. It’s a call dance and the impossible lover answers. The sphere of the sun comes. The two stars dance together for a long time, chasing each other, hiding, overtaking, parting and meeting up again on the following eclipse night.
FIRE
The third night is dedicated to fire and red is the main colour. The fire of the benevolent winking “devils” that trace out sorcery and good omen lines for the future of the city. Girls with flaming red dresses dance on a stage: the fire in their hands. Among them the most beautiful one with wide white wings so as to protect her.. until a new Lucifer enters the stage and with him she starts a courting and rivalry dance.
